Stand For Children Endorses SD 19 Candidate Lang Sias
Non-Partisan Education Advocacy Group Cites Sias as “Articulate and Knowledgeable”
Arvada, CO… Colorado’s leading education reform organization last week endorsed Arvada father, pilot and decorated military veteran Lang Sias over his Democrat opponent in Senate District 19.
Sias is one of only two Republican Senate candidates to receive the Stand for Children endorsement.
"Lang is an articulate and knowledgeable community member who understands the critical relationship between strong public schools and the growth of our economy,” said Dan Clayton, a member of Stand for Children’s Endorsement Committee.
“I am very gratified and humbled to have the support of such a committed, hard-working group of parents and advocates,” said Sias. “Stand for Children represents the gold standard for thoughtful education reform policy in Colorado. Their confidence in my candidacy represents a tremendous boost for this grassroots campaign for Colorado Senate,” he added.
Lang Sias and his wife Rene – ten year residents of Arvada - are parents of three young children; the two that are of school age attend Jeffco Public Schools. He has served as a fighter pilot in the Navy and in the Air National Guard, where he is currently a lieutenant colonel. He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and a B.A. from Vassar College.
